How I show up:
"When the path gets steep and the air gets thin, you learn that pace matters, and so does who you trust to move with you. I bring that same discipline to high-stakes work, helping you navigate difficult terrain without losing sight of what matters most,"
Andrea Delgado, Founder & Principal.
For leaders who need clarity, alignment, and decisions that can stand up to scrutiny.
I bring nearly 20 years of experience as a trusted advisor and confidante to executives across sectors, including the White House, federal agencies, national nonprofits, unions, and community organizations, helping them navigate complex challenges, drive organizational change, and deliver high-impact strategies and policies.
I help leadership teams navigate moments of unprecedented change, clarifying direction, aligning stakeholders, and turning strategy into executable action. Drawing on nearly two decades advising federal agencies, national nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations, I build practical roadmaps, establish decision clarity, and support teams through the shifts in structure, culture, and accountability required to deliver results.
From Cabinet and Subcabinet officials, senior executives, and advocates, I partner with mission-driven organizations and leaders to shape policies that create lasting change. I bring deep experience navigating government processes and building the coalitions and issue advocacy campaigns that turn ambitious policy ideas into tangible impact.
I help leaders and organizations strengthen relationships with Tribal Nations through respect, trust building, and clear commitments. My work has supported Tribal co-stewardship of public lands, return of ancestral homelands to tribal stewardship, wildfire resilience efforts, and long-term agreements that honor sovereignty and deliver tangible benefits on the ground.
I coordinate alignment across federal, state, Tribal, and local partners. I bring experience managing Cabinet-level priorities across agencies and jurisdictions so that policy, funding, and messaging move in sync, especially when timelines are tight and public pressure is high.
I help organizations and leadership teams navigate tense or high-stakes workforce issues, including pay, safety, working conditions, and union relations, and move toward sustainable solutions. My expertise includes shaping national reforms for agricultural workers and wildland firefighters, and supporting executives through active labor challenges. I’ve worked alongside labor leaders and senior management, so I understand both sides of the table.
For leaders who are committed to measurable outcomes, responsible stewardship of land and resources, and work that reduces risk and advances legitimacy in the eyes of the most impacted communities.
As former Chief of Staff for USDA Natural Resources & Environment and a Deputy Regional Forester (Rocky Mountain Region) overseeing timber, renewable resources, safety, fire, fuels, and aviation, I’ve worked with Tribes, conservation groups, land management agencies, state forestry departments, and the timber/forest-products industry. I know first-hand the tensions of managing multiple-use landscapes. I advise leaders on forest health and resilience, wildfire risk reduction, and responsible natural-resource management. Having helped shape multibillion-dollar federal wildfire risk reduction investments, I help organizations design strategies that protect natural resources while meeting operational, political, and community needs.
Whether it’s protecting children, workers, or neighborhoods facing the greatest exposure and risk, I partner with government, community groups, Tribes, NGOs, labor, industry, and elected officials across the aisle to reduce risk and deliver practical solutions that benefit everyone.
For teams looking to overhaul or strengthen policy, funding, and program design, not as messaging, but as practice, I help leaders and organizations target resources and build accountability around who is centered, who benefits, and how.
When things are "on fire" (politically, culturally, or operationally).
I support leaders in managing crisis conditions without losing control of the mission. In high-stakes moments, I draw on Incident Command System (ICS) training and field experience to give teams clarity of roles, responsibilities, and communication discipline so issues are stabilized, leaders stay aligned, and work stays on track.
I partner with you to identify who needs to be at the table, why they matter, and what they need to see to stay engaged. I can help you build engagement strategies that anticipate friction, surface shared interests, and keep partners aligned over the course of complex initiatives or public-facing work.
I facilitate high-stakes conversations when something is stuck, tense, or heading toward escalation. I can help you create space for candid dialogue, clarify points of contention, and help leadership teams move through discomfort toward decisions they can implement, and stand behind.
